First of all sorry for the inconvenience to everyone because of our closure, but we promise when we reopen we will have the dopest shit on our shelves! The growth we’ve had over the past two and a half years has been incredible and surprising. We’ve gone to more than a dozen gem shows, and also been a part of ten or so gem shows. Gem shows are where we get most of our inventory and the ones we are a part of are where we sell a lot of our inventory. Whether we’re going to a gem show to purchase or part of one where we sell, the shop is continuously open. And because so we have a pretty big influx of product going out and coming in.
We’ve been trying to keep up with it and making sure we have new and unique specimens always out on our shelves, but the time has come where we haven’t been able to replace old inventory quick enough to make sure customers have the best experience in our shop. We don’t want to be that kind of shop that just has the same things on our shelves all the time. We believe rotating specimens allows everyone to be able to see the coolest finds that have just been discovered or new specimens we’ve never had in the shop.
Our closure will help us be able to constantly have new items on our shelves, but also allow us to have a clearance section in our store and drop the prices of old stock. We believe everyone should have a rock in their pocket or collection at home, and having the most affordable prices around will help us achieve that.
We just got so much new stuff at our most recent gem show, the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Some of the new items are raw blue topaz, iridescent geothite, phosphorescent calcite, larimar from the Dominican Republic, mammoth fossils, blue apatite crystals, and even cabochons made from dozens of different kinds of minerals. The pace we’ve been doing inventory at, we wouldn’t be able to get them out on the floor till next month. So we’re closing our doors we can focus just on inventory so we can get this killer stuff out in two weeks.
