Adamite is a basic zinc arsenate, sometimes containing considerable amounts of copper and cobalt. These diferent amounts of copper and cobalt impurities are responsible for the color of the adamite. Adamite crystals are often in a limonite matrix.

This specimen is a great example of adamites ability to produce globular crystals, while sitting atop the red limonite matrix. It is a must-have mineral for aspiring geologists and mineralogists.

Folk lore has it that adamite is useful in combing the mind and heart to work in unison at tackling relationship and love obstacles.
