This Baculite fossil is too beautiful! The colors swirl together to create a rainbow pastel of radiance. It's perfect to hold in your hand. Baculites are an extinct cephalopod genus with a nearly straight shell. Like other ammonites, their shell consisted of a series of chambers that were connected to the animal by a narrow tube called a siphuncle, by which buoyancy and gas content could be regulated. This is similar to today's nautilus.
This Baculite fossil would look good literally anywhere in the house. I recommend keeping it by your bedside or using it as a decorative, or even spiritual, piece around the house. Baculite fossils have been used to promote regeneration and reinvention.
