Malachite is a copper mineral that is best known for its rich green color and banded crystal formations. Since it is formed in copper deposits, it is often found with other minerals such as azurite and chrysocolla. Most of the malachite in the world comes from the Congo.

Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper phyllosilicate mineral. Associated minerals are quartz, limonite, azurite, malachite and other secondary copper minerals. It is typically found as botryoidal or rounded masses and crusts, or vein fillings.

The botryoidal masses of the chrysocolla, alongside the banded formations of the malachite make this piece especially dazzling to admire and have around. Deepening shades of blue and green in this specimen encourage growth, creativity, and transformation of the inner self.
