Petrified wood is a fossil. It forms when plant material is buried by sediment & protected from decay due to oxygen & organisms. Then, groundwater rich in dissolved solids flows through the sediment, replacing the original plant material with Silica, Calcite, Pyrite, or another inorganic material such as Opal.
I feel as though it is not common to find a piece of petrified wood that make a good palm stone but this one is amazing! If I had to choose a piece of petrified wood to meditate with it woud definitley be this piece.
Petrified wood looks great as a decoration or for specimen collection. Petrified Wood is used to help connect with the earth & nature. It is a good way for city dwellers to keep nature nearby & encourages people to respect their environment & live in harmony with the planet.
