My oh my, what do we have here? It couldn't be any other than this marvelous sand included quartz specimen! Quartz is one of the most well-known minerals and can be found at many locations around the globe. This crystal is an essence of our Earth and consists of pure silicon and oxygen. These particular sandy quartz crystals form in pockets when layers of sediment cover crystals during transformation.
What a spectacular specimen. It's incredible to see the sand inclusion resting beautifully within the clear quartz. I think it's fascinating to know that the sand inside of this specimen has traveled around the world and through time. The movement of sand across different locations happens due to erosion, run-off, wind, waves, etc. It's so cool to know that a piece of this geologic process is perfectly captured within this crystal.
